PROPOSED RULES – November 7 & 8, 2024
The proposed rules for the in-person meetings are shown below and have been amended specifically for the consideration of the bargaining submissions to be considered at these meetings:
- The submissions selected by the Executive Board as well as a full list of submissions will be handed out to all attendees when they arrive at the meeting. The doors will open an hour before the start of the meeting to allow members time to review both of these packages. These packages will be collected from each member before they leave the meeting.
- Members whose submissions were not included in the Executive Board’s bargaining package may move to have their submission added to this package according to Article 12:03. No new submissions will be considered.
- Amendments to submissions or additional submissions from the full submission package may only be made at the first part of the Two-Shift Meeting.
- Members in attendance shall cast their votes by a show of hands.
- The results of the votes will not be disclosed at the first meeting. Once voting occurs at the second meeting, the results from both meetings will be added together and read aloud to the meeting.
- Except as otherwise provided in Robert’s Rules, there will be no record of how members vote, only total numbers.
- Motions to Suspend the Order of Business can only be considered at the first part of the Two-shift Meeting and any such changes shall amend the Order of Business for the second part of the Two-shift meeting.
- Motions will be passed by a simple majority.
- Members that attended the first meeting may attend the second meeting but may not vote at the second meeting.
- All Executive Board Members except the President shall vote at the First Two-shift Meeting.
